Dr Deidre Sun graduated in Medicine from University of Sydney in 1990 and began her anaesthesia experience in the UK in 1995. She obtained her Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2002. She completed her paediatric anaesthesia fellowship at the Westmead Children’s Hospital, in addition she completed two years of neuroanaesthesia fellowship and general clinical research fellowship in Vancouver, Canada in 2003-2004.
She currently works at Nepean Public Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital, Norwest Private Hospital and City West Specialist Day Hospital. Her areas of special interests are paediatric anaesthesia, anaesthesia for breast, colorectal, eye, orthopaedic and urology surgery, and airway management.
Dr Sun is a member of the Australian Association of Anaesthetists and the Australian Medical Association.
Dr Sun also enjoys spending time rock climbing, telemark skiing and surfing, which she actively pursues in her spare time.
