LASIK: Still the Benchmark
LASIK (Laser Insitu Keratomileusis) still remains the surgery of preference for a majority of people considering laser eye surgery. iLASIK in particular, being bladefree, appeals to both surgeons and patients, as it reduces the risk of flap complications. Some patients will have an increased likelihood of having dry eyes for a short period post treatment but it is an acceptable trade off for patients, given LASIK’s relatively short recovery period and fast visual recovery.
